whoa. whoever wrote this needs to do a bit more research.. lack of intellectual curiousity? reading is one of my favorite hobbies. I love learning about different subjects. I may get bored easily and jump from topic to topic, but when I find something I love, I completely envelope myself in it.

I totally Agree with Guest number 2 I'm a Gemini I do get bored easily form things but once I scencerly get interested in soemthing I do my best to know everything about it and don't get bored of it that easily.I do hate details but. I guess this is a prime example of not understanding the gemini personality. We have a bad reputation only because most people cannot figure us out and how can u because we are forever changing. This article is so true...at least from my point of view because my boyfriend is a Gemini. I feel that his self-steem is low but he puts a front by trying to buy expensive things and he is forever trying to cheat...I said trying because I always catch him lol. I think you all need to take a chill pill the artical is called The Dark Side of Gemini's. Dont take it all to heart the artical is generally true but its obviously going to vary from person to person. Calm down everyones different I'm sure the artical wasn't ment to offend.

I think the author has SOME valid points. The article is supposed to be about Gemini's negative traits.... A little more research or interaction w/ Gemini's may lead to some enlightenment as to the fact of how yes, we can be manipulative and cunning. In actuality we do have a general trust of people but are easily offended when people are rude. This would change any one's opinion of trust. We can crush people verbally like stepping on a worm. This behavior is rarely unprovoked.;) Nice effort but attempt more fact than opinion and you may be the better author for it.

O dear, were not that bad are we? Yes we have two personalities but that's not a bad thing.. we only get moody if there is something for us to be moody about. I think other signs are just jealous of our intellect and our ability to have a conversation, with absolutley anybody on any topic, personally I think this is a great trait to have, who doesn't like a good chin wag???? I agree with this article, I recently dated a Gemini, our short lived affair was passionate and intense, we both professed our love for each other we engaged in a more committed relationship. Together, than she broke up with me a week after and started going out with someone else 2 weeks later who is totally out of her element. I have had a gemini friend for too long 12years. I am libra. We are supposed to be good together but not so at all. I have found her to be a good person to share things with personal problems. Well i somewhat agree..my boyfriend is a Gemini and he have some of these characteristics. He did choose to be street smart more than book smart. I am a gemini, and to be honest when it comes down to friendships etc, i see through false people and some might take it as being arrogent! I am not arrogent I will not pretend to be your friend if I am not and I no sometime soon whoever the person is ur clinging to will realize that. Some ways I agree with what you sais, as in if i pick up a book read a few pages and it doesnt excite me to read on, I dont what is the point? On the other hand if I start a book that gets me I dont put it down. Well as a libra woman, in my opinion, I believe it is right and wrong at some points. I met a gemini man and I dated him without knowing that he is married and has children. I cannot say that it was a surprise when I discovered everything. I asked him before knowing all that but he just answered me with a lie, telling me that he is separated and they are having marital issues. But I started to do a research behind the scenes, and I found him on pictures showing his happiness of being married, smiles of him and his wife, hugging each other, going to events. I have been closely involved with a couple of geminis one of them is my sis i know her inside out an she has all the negative traits of a typical gemini , never the less i love her more than my life.I am an aries and married to a gemini male for 15 yrs , i have 3 beautiful kids, thes past yrs i have been treated like a toy, if hes good then he is really good, then suddenly he is a totally different person , nasty, irresponsible ,moody , childish ,hot temper cuts himself off from the whole family , make everyones life hell, i could go on forever, i have give him lots of space and been patient , i have tried and tried but got no where , i have spent all these yrs hoping he will change and love me back, the worst is he says there is no fault of mine he is this way and thats it , there is no winning , i have totally left him to his own devices and planning to leave him, i am scared 4 life tio be involved with a gemini, so be warned .

A Gemini didn't write this obviously. This is bull lots and lots of bull. This doesn't describe anything what a true Gem is really like when it comes to the dark side and exactly why. I am not just a guest. My name is Sarah and I can only tell you about me.

I was expecting to see something interesting in this article, but the reality is the information just mirrors what a lot of other sites are saying. Perhaps a Gemini was some of these things in the past, we cannot ignore the fact however, that times change and society changes. I personally am the extreme dark side of what a Gemini is capable of. There are stages that a Gemini will go through in life. 3 Stages for me and counting. Stage 1: I have always been withdrawn, and never have been the life of a party. I was considered mysterious and unapproachable. Yet, I had my fair share of men until I reached my early twenties. I would always try an experience once just for the hell of it. I was rebellious as a teenager and yet not in a way that was ever disrespectful unless it involved humiliation, then I would turn on people like a cornered wolf. I learnt early on there is no point in lying. Unfortunately, I had a Scorpio as a mother and because of our 'clashes' I learned to hurt people with words in the worst ways. So long story short... I do not lie. The truth hurts even more.

Stage 2: This stage I describe as a settling period. I had two marriages in ten years. The first marriage failed because my husband loved music more than he did me and the second marriage failed because I thought the worst of my second husband. He did obsess about other things, which is sort of the same like the first marriage. I did not cheat on either partner... but technically I left the first husband and moved on to the second one that became my husband. In-between marriage 1 and 2 I did have fun with people. And yes, it is more superficial but never involved physical relations. I would have to credit my imagination for that though.

Stage 3: Past the stage of both marriages, and 8 months down the line I attempt for the first time to engage with someone on a personal level. This is where I am at.

So why am I extreme: If I had to compare myself... it would be to two things. A wolf and a tornado. The wolf (not pack mentality) is essentially the personality I display. Playful, soft, silly and generally very loyal to a specific mate. On the other hand I am really aggressive, moody, obsessive and always think the worst. My moods compare to a tornado in the fact that it is short lived. I am really destructive one minute and then all happy the next minute the issue is resolved.

Things that I find I can't live without... because I enjoy communication, I have to write as well. My imagination is my greatest asset and I read a hell of a lot. I obsess about a specific industry and love ideas, strategy and business. I am a born leader and not a follower. Saying that I can have a business, but I cannot be a manager. There are differences to it. I am very open and honest about my feelings and analyse everything. This can be a strength and yet my greatest downfall if the other person is trying to hide something from me. I would go to great lengths to uncover everything I can if I have a feeling that something isn't right. I lose interest in a relationship real quick if someone cannot communicate with me or excite me. I am an avid scholar and love learning about subjects, only to appear far more superior than others in the area of my choice. It is a secret pleasure.

I appreciate the male and female form without it affecting my personal feelings. I enjoy art and beauty. I never blend in with a crowd and stand out as a solitary figure. I love myself and accept who I am, yet is disappointed and resentful of others that try to mould me into something I am not. I have an intense fascination with the occult/religion in various forms, yet do not engage in any activity.

This in my opinion..is the dark side of Gemini.

I dated my first Gemini a couple years ago. There wasn't much to be remembered about the 3 month experience beyond his incessant negative criticizing of anyone anywhere anytime (not so much to their face though.) He was also quite insecure, controlling, untrusting, and focused a lot of his attention on appearances, education level, and income brackets. Extremely handsome guy on the exterior, but it was hard to be gravitated to him for anything more than physical satisfaction. I all my dating years, I've not once encountered any guy who was so remarkably judgemental and old school controlling and (he would have made an ideal Taliban husband.) Not a witty or charismatic guy either and was averse to clubs and bars because they were noisy and he said something about them being violent. I look back and think of his seeming inability to make for interesting or engaging chats and that's odd since wit and good conversation are commonly associated with geminis.
Also ran into an Gemini coworker last year who I hadn't seen in a long time. My gosh. Head case. Her guy friend that she was romantically interested in began pursuing me. I thought I was doing the right thing by gently informing her (she had an imaginary relationship with this guy and I felt sorry for her cause he didn't seem to share her fantasy.) She replied that it was my fault and that everything was fine until I came into the picture. She apologized two or three times for that afterward. At first glance, I noticed that she carried herself with confidence, but it didn't take long before her dark side was oozing out. I really felt for her cause she was doing the best she could with what God had given her as far as physical attributes go and she was also a recovering alcoholic. I tried to be supportive and encouraging and uplifting. But I had to let this friendship fizzle. It was just dragging me down and served no positive purpose.
Have a guy gemmy friend. Afraid of women. Suspicious of his guy friends. He seems to think people are out to get him. And he also seems to have an unbridled passion for criticizing others (behind their back.) Another gemmy who sits atop a high horse. But he is always cordial and polite and I enjoy having him around for social interaction.
And I don't know what this Gemini theme is all about in my life suddenly, but I've just started seeing a gemini guy again. So far, I haven't seen a dark side. Actually, he seems rather sweet. The only thing I noticed that's bothered me is that he seems to get squirmy and irritated when I mention a guy friend or guy coworker or any interaction with the male species. I can see that most views here are negative! As a writer, I don't think any article should be ridiculed like this. And then, astrology doesn't work the way most people think. Find your Chinese zodiac to find your true western zodiac. Most of what is written here is accurate, though I'm not sure about attacking the idea of higher intelligence. And yes, I'm a Gemini. I have tried to understand myself through various means and I can tell this path is never ending. I know more about what kind of life I want, which activities I want to try than my complex personality. Starting from "Gemini Man" to the end, it's quite right. I'm going to try and figure if the part before that is right too. I love to read, but I haven't read that many books. Haven't even finished some of the books I did read. Thanks Jared!
